Drawing inspiration from nature's colors and textures, I crafted this flat plate using black stoneware clay on a potter's wheel. The plate's design is flat, featuring a slightly raised rim that I carefully carved with a simple hand tool. I applied a matte ocher glaze on the top surface to enhance its appearance, leaving the edge and bottom unglazed. This decision highlights both the carved rim and the attractive texture of the black clay.

Care

I craft all my work from high-quality stoneware clay and food-safe glazes without lead. All of my work is dishwasher safe, though I recommend hand washing. You can also put it in the oven or microwave, but as with all handmade pieces, the better you care for them, the longer they stay with you.
